Siddhartha Mukherjee: The Emperor of All Maladies

In a previous post, The Battle Against Cancer, I suggested visitors consider listening or reading a fascinating, comprehensive biography of cancer, the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction.

In the video series listed above, Dr. Mukherjee explains that he sees cancer as a lens in which to understand modern society and the acquisition of knowledge. He describes himself as a “sober optimist” about the future of cancer research about the future of cancer research as he urges the cancer community to demand more public support for cancer therapies, treatments and prevention.
